Lionel Conacher: The oldest brother, a Hall of Fame hockey and football star; an undefeated wrestler, a star baseball and lacrosse player. Canada"s Athlete of the First Half Century (1901-1950). A member of Canada's Parliament he died trying to stretch a single into a triple in a softball game played with fellow MPs on Parliament Hill.
His son Brian Conacher was a star football player at Western University. He played hockey for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings. In 1972 he provided colour commentary for Foster Hewitt's play-by-play of the Canada-Russia hockey series.
Charlie Conacher: A Hockey Hall of Fame player with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Charlie was probably the greatest goal scorer in the history of the Maple Leafs.
Charlie's son Peter Conacher played in the NHL with Chicago, New York, and Toronto, and continues to play into his late 80s!
Roy Conacher: A Hockey Hall of Fame player was an outstanding goal scorer with Boston, Detroit and Chicago who in this rookie season with the Bruins led the NHL in goals. He would win the NHL scoring title a decade later while skating the Black Hawks.
